Mole's Fencing Services - Mobile Firewood Processing & Log Splitting

What is mobile firewood processing?

If you're thinking about log splitting and preparing firewood for the season ahead, then a firewood processor is a wonderful machine that cuts and splits lengths of wood into pieces of the required size to fit on a fire or in a woodburner. The wood is first cut, then can be left whole for thin pieces or split into halves or quarters.

Mole's Fencing Services travels to your site with an operator and can process at your property, in woodlands or for those businesses which supply firewood.

Why hire a mobile firewood processor?

Mobile firewood processing offers a significant cost saving when compared to purchasing loads of split logs from a firewood merchant, particularly where a group of people can get together to use bulk buying of corded wood. Firewood businesses can cost effectively increase productivity without the capital outlay on purchasing equipment, hence avoiding running costs.

Firewood processing is especially suited to woodland owners where Mole's Fencing Services woodland management costs can be set against a direct return in the form of a marketable end product.

How much can be processed in a day?

This is a hard question to answer, similar to 'how long is a piece of string'? We have processed, with one additional operator and optimal size, straight wood in excess of 20m3 of corded wood in one day. However, on average, we aim to process 15m3 per day – the picture shows two days work with one additional operator.

How much does it cost?

From £200 (excluding VAT) per day within a 10 mile radius of Newent, Gloucestershire. For firewood processing in other local areas (including Gloucester, Cheltenham, Painswick etc), please contact us for a quotation.
