PostsaverPreservative legislation means Fence posts now rot prematurely at ground level, leaving you with a perfectly good fence that has to be replaced after only a few years!
Patented Postsaver barrier sleeves (as featured on Drangons Den) are a dual layer sleeve comprising a tough polythene outer layer with a meltable bituminous liner; they are all 14''/350mm long. Postsaver sleeves are quickly and easily heat shrunk on to the vulnerable ground line section of your post using a gas blow torch or pallet shrink gun. On heating the bituminous liner melts and seals the timber surface whilst the tough outer thermoplastic sleeve shrinks down tightly on to the post. The end result is a tough and durable barrier which keeps the preservative in and the causes of decay out. How long will Postsaver protected fence posts last? The use of Postsaver sleeves typically doubles the life of the fence post. In practice this means a typical expected service life well in excess of 15 years. A claim backed up by nearly 20 years of proven service without failure and exhaustive independent testing. |
